sorry but no.
As someone wise mentioned in commets: the worst is being 4k -- not bad enough to be called a casual player yet not good enough to be a really good player like 5k+
Because dota is not a circle clicking game where you basically only improve at clicking circles better
A lot of people here complain about their own MMR bracket, but in reality, probably half the players out there teamfight by running at each other at full health then auto-attacking each other without moving until one of them dies.
The data is rigged. It can only take ppl into account, who give their data to the databases. You can guess, that the worst players tend not to give their data away. Also alot of ppl are only playing lp, cuz they almost never leave it and alot of ppl play no ranked at all.
MMR inflation does exist. Most graphs for each region resemble a bell curve. When more players join, the extremes extend but the centre remains the same, keeping the median the same. This is what I mean by the extremes extending:
The poster will do a mmr distribution for Australia. Now I can show you all Australia MMR is vastly different to every other server. The vast diffference in player count and mmr will also show the existence of MMR inflation. For now, MMR distribution for some regions are available: https://www.reddit.com/r/DotA2/comments/6n1u5o/the_true_mmr_distribution/dk6ok55/.
Also, R.I.P. meme. No longer can people say they are higher than the average mmr 2.2k.
^Which mean normie keep c8 smurf but in the end thouse mmr will be donate to high end mmr player.
Seem legit,
@dioxgamingpro I was just explaining how the median remained the same not why inflation exists.
What does it mean by 99%?. Does it mean that i am one of the 1 percent best players this world has ever fucking seen?
I still cannot believe 4.1k is top 1%. That bracket is a cringe fest. I posted this theory on Reddit as a possible explanation:
One theory is that children are worse than adults. This allows adults to win mmr off children. A 3k player is in the top 30% for all players but maybe not after children are excluded from the data.
You people need to consider casuals. Not everyone spends hours and hours finetuning their skills in this game. Most people play it for fun, with friends, mess around. Same as any other game. Sure theres a professional aspect to it. But lets be honest. Who here has the time to play 20 games a day? Pretty much teens and professionals. Adults usually have a job and don't have the time to play this game all day. They would indeed be "better" at the game as they don't tend to tilt as fast and thus being able to make more logical decisions. But what do i know i'm just a 2k pleb on a shitty losing streak xD
^a lot of people also play other games besides dota. Just look at your steam friends - they have many hours invested here and there, and how do you expect a person to be still good in dota after playig HoS or LoL or what ever goat simulator there is out there.
Also consider that smurf accounts are included in the data - meaning that, for example, fun accounts of Cookie or your low mmr smurfes provide the opportunity for the trash brackets (like4k) to think of themselves like they are the 1%, when they are still trash.
Guys trust me it's right. You have a hard time believing it cus you seek out forums to improve mostly. There's are TONS of casuals who hang out in 2k just for fun and play like 1 match a week. And only like 10% of games are ranked.
You guys looking at the current "1%" or whatever need to realize that part of the data probably isn't accurate. It's only 2 days of matches so that's part of why is skewed right so heavily
High mmr players play way more ranked than low mmr players
No data from china, since perfectworld shit, and some minors servers were excluded
https://dota.rgp.io/mmr/#chart-totals
this site analises the data, and updates in intervals, according to the data, aroud 67% of the playerbase doesn show stats, and 16% stoped showing.
Clearly Fake News
u even see that the reddit graph is geraing more to 2-2.5k players while the other is mainly 3k based

I was looking at the most recent mmr distribution today and the average is 2.3k, originally when ranked came out it was 2.2k. So is all the talk of inflation mostly just people salty about boosters?
