i use 300dpi and 5000 camera speed in game.asus mouse and ultra wide lg monitor.but you should set your setting and its personal.you can also search for dota 2 pros setting and see that.but your mouse must not be so fast so you cant farm or kill someone and not so slow so you miss something for that.and camera speed must be around 5000 (miracle 4780) so you can chase someone easily and look anywhere on minimap...
lol 300 dpi. ultrawide. i think he missed a 0. just follow this rule. as long as you are able to comfortably hit the edges of the monitor you are using = good enough. no pointer precision and window settings middle notch.
other people's mouse settings are not good for you. just find your own. this is not CS, its dota.
I still haven't found my optimal setting. It's always either too fast or too slow. I also feel the camera move speed cap was unnecessary.
get used to 8k camera speed,it's the best in my opinion
i cant even handle 3k camera speed anymore
DPI isn't quite the same thing as sensitivity. Generally you'll want a high DPI mouse but play with a low sensitivity.
As an exaggeration to explain: Would you rather a mouse that moves 5000px every milimeter, or 1px every milimeter? You'd NEVER aim accurately with the former, but would *eventually* get on target with the later.
You want it as insensitive as possible, while still fast enough to allow yourself to get on target. Personally I use 800 sensitivity on 8200 dpi mouse and 5500 camera, but the settings are all up to your personal preference.
I only explained further because a lot of people seem to think bigger is better, but the opposite is the case with mice.
really? mine is at 2700 sensitivity and god knows what is my dpi lol (on razer synapse)
i would like to make it fast as 2700 sensi and i can get this much speed if possible (by lowering sens)
how how
wait razer taipan white says i'm 8200 dpi
ur mouse is 8200 dpi, but your setting in razer synapse is your sensitivity setting.
so like i said you want high DPI (8200 is high/ which is a good quality laser sensor) but low sensitivity.
IMO 2700 sens is REALLY fucking high, no idea how you play like that, but to each their own I guess. Generally lower sensitivity allows for higher precision.
This is why when you watch, say, pro FPS players, they will have large mouse mats and move their whole arm across the mat when aiming.
Higher DPI = Better quality sensor in your mouse.
Lower Sensitivity = Slower Speed, but higher precision. Find the lowest sensitivity you can while still maintaining an acceptable speed. You'll have to get used to moving your mouse farther on your mousepad.
i see,thanks marlan
ye,first time i used this mouse i only use 800 sensitivity. but after a while i feel like its really really really slow
so i started worked it up every game, moving the sens bar little by little to get used to it then got to 2700 which i feel is really gud(and yes i sometimes misclicks tho so this can be the main problem)
i tried higher than this, its just too fast to handle. i guess this is my comfort lowest sensi and acceptable speed one
also i used the 6 mouse thing on windows setting (the 6 speed)
I've got 1050 sensitivity on a 8200DPI mouse, 28" 2k 144hz monitor - works perfectly for me on DotA, took a while to figure out the perfect setup for sens
