There is no way for us to be 100% sure if a game counted or not (if it had an abandon in it), because Valve doesn't give that info. The method we use is only 99% accurate, so small differences can occur.
The match you linked got falsely detected, but there's nothing we can do about it.
Apparently a match with a player who finished the game level 1, with 0 kill, 0 death, 0 assist, 0 last hit and 0 deny is not enough for your algorithm to consider a game an abandon, lolwat:

Well, a friend of mine got a win in this one so I'm actually fine with it :) But still, wow...
The game continued, ie. someone/some of the players didn't leave and completed the game, and this doesn't show on dotabuff as an abandon, rather shown as a loss for the side that got his ancient destroyed
Dotabuff can't detect abandons. As said above, the only thing it can do is attempt to guess whether someone abandoned early and (therefore) a "no stats will be recorded" message was displayed.
That obviously happened in that game and it should've been really, really easy to figure out from the data Dotabuff grabs.
Can anyone tell me if this match was recorded

It did say Nothing will be recorded!

— Added Real match distinction for matchmaking matches that completed and count toward lifetime statistics
I still see a match where someone left at the start ("early abandon, no stats will be recorded"):

Does this count as a real match? What is not a real match then?
