I assume you mean solo que, because if you are smurfing with a group of friends who are already very high you could be in Very High on the first game you play.
If you declare that you are an expert when you start the account you start with a rating near the top of High bracket and will be in Very High if you win the first 2 or 3 games.
If you declare that you are a beginner when you start the account you will be rated in the middle of Normal Bracket. If you win roughly the first 5 in a row you are in High, 10 wins in a row will be Very High. If you win and lose some its less clear, and if you que with people instead of solo its a real mess to try to sort out what happens to ratings.
What bracket you que into very broadly indicates skill, but real pro players still are in Normal sometimes and autoattacking feeders are sometimes in Very High depending on how people choose to que with friends. None of this is public, I've just deduced it from a lot of different accounts data.
I remember to troll a bit on one of the accounts, pressing beginner, tho still i was in very high within 5 matches. This is mainly soloque, i know the fact that if im very high and que up with a couple of friends at normal, they still get to play in very high with me.
oh you got to very high in 5 games? Was your first game normal? This is the fastest I've heard claimed so far. I wonder if they have changed something in the smurf detection algorithm.
What was the name of that account?
My comment was about how do u play LD without maxing his ulti whenever available, but then checked my games, and saw same thing, and then saw Dignitas.Aui_2000 games with LD, and saw the same thing, which can't be correct, I think its a bug, because I am sure I take his ulti whenever available, but it gives that i take it once only, mostly at 6 or 9

Hi, ive had 3 different accounts now, and already on my 3-4th game can i be found in the very high bracket. Yet i see players whining and using brackets as a skilldetermination, my question is how do valve determine which bracket you go to?
