afaik u can get to page 1 in less than 10 games while solo queing

People surely can solo queue into the first page. However, it is unlikely anyone would ever consistently do so. And of course, your chances of being up there are a function of the current match ups AND the match up in which you have been placed. You can be extremely high skill, but the average of everyone in the game is well below top page material (you were put into the game, for example, to balance a 2 stack with 1 really skilled player and 1 medium skilled one on the other team.). These are the dynamics that make solo queueing into the top page 100% of the time basically impossible. You'll be tossed into games with newbies and whatnot. Other times, you're in a moderately serious game, yet there happens to be 10 games that are slightly more serious taking the spotlight.

I actually sometimes get there with only solo queue but to stay there you need some mad skills.

It is possible to soloq and be firstpage however if a good 5man stack ques and they face another good 5man stack the chances are way hgher of them having a better score than you than you getting 4 other good people with legit points as well as the enemy

problem with solo smurf account is being thrown everywhere one game u get on lets page 3 win it then next game u cant even find yourself through hero filter and overall level of players is going to be the worst thus far and that shit keep on happening:

I am playing on front pages. You need to improve your hidden ELO rating, easiest way to improve it is a make smurf-account. Check my last game I played on second page with 2 smurfs with 20 games.

So what I dont understand is how a guy like this http://dotabuff.com/players/136014701 with a 54% winrate @ 24 games can end up on page 2 while I am stuck at page 10-15 with a winrate of 70% @ 73 games?

Does KDA really affect ur hidden mmr so much that u need to play selfish and play for ur own KDA instead of the win in order to get to the top pages solo?

@Lianos, well it makes perfect sense for it to happen every now and then just out of necessity. Example:
a party with 4 members queue up. Well... looks like a solo queue will need to fill in the hole.

I don't think anyone can consistently solo queue and be on the first page constantly. I've seen many pro players solo queue (aui_2000, ee, sexybambo) and they were like on the 4-7th pages. In order for you to be on the first page constantly, you must have a ridiculously high level stack consisting of 2-3 players.

But then again, if you're on the first 34 pages, that means you're better than over 99% of dota 2 players.

most of the ppl who bitch bout mmr are bad players anyways, you win some you lose some. quit letting your teammates dictate your gameplay and just be a boss. you can't always blame mms and expect to become better, somesgames you have to be the determining factor and maintain composure. to get to front page strictly solo queuing is possible but isn't.favorable you'll just be a punching bag for some tryhard stack since dota 2 is a teamgame afterall

Quite simply because the MMR system had time to judge your skill level after 73 games and decides you're a page 10-15 player. I can't speak for the other player though. WR% means little to nothing.
