think about it for a second, I already said it, ain't hard to figure out. there MIGHT be something going on, that's the whole idea behind the item. you might not have anything worth seeing but want enemies to think you have something to hide and be a bit reluctant ganking you. perhaps give yourself some breathing room you normally wouldn't have.
if you don't want to put any thinking process into it then that's too bad, but your prerogative.
still would expect people to have something of substance to say.
edit: rapier might be dead giveaway item thanks to dmg boost which would be fairly visible.
Maybe it could be a 'consumable' such that you apply the buff to the item u want to hide. So you get the surprise factor on the opponent. Just my two cents.
It will be hilarious if the enemy rages when they realise they got dagon and they have no idea whats going on :D
yeah didn't think of that, why not it could serve the same purpose. new conceptual items are really hard to think of and for most part are just a mixture of already preexisting items we got now.
but it seems people, for most part, when wanting items, want hats...

at work, so naturally bored, was thinking, how about an item that disguises your inventory?
as it blocks enemies observing your inventory content.?
allow me to explain the idea.
so it would be something like to have some mind games with enemies. like showing up 30 minutes into the game farming safe lane but they don't can't see your items. like it might not be a big deal, but you could have necro(instead holding onto it in chicken) or dagger ready. it wouldn't be permanent ofc, to avoid smth like gyro getting rapier and using that item to hide his inventory because that would be broken. but for example item being like smoke. using it for 2 minutes and your inventory is hidden UNLESS enemy hero comes near range like 500/600 aoe and reveal it.
like you could set up jukes on invisible roaming heroes, show up to lane with a gem hidden and 2 people behind waiting for that invisible gondar/broodmother to come into range that can be fatal.
hiding your finished bkb trying to lure enemies into a team fight. I dno. there could be more options to it, I'm just thinking of it on the fly.
I feel we could use some mind games in dota, and this could be a nice touch to it and not necessarily op.
what do you think guys?
