if ur 4700-4900 you can get there since its the same general skill level. anything 4600 and below is not 5000 level and ur not gonna get to 5000 unless u improve on small things
Improve, play high impact heroes, win games, or abuse with feeding/sandboxie etc.
This is for ranked though. Currently it is significantly easier these days to get a decent stack going and go gang stomp non ranked games on certain servers with certain language preferences.
Instead of spending your time making ridiculous edited videos filled with memes showing 'skill' in the potato bracket, watch your replays and look for every single mistake you make, learn from it. Don't do it again next time.
Accept now that you're a bad player and need to improve and improving will come easier.

Polaris, I will give you the best advice of anyone here.
YOU WILL NEVER REACH 5K MMR. That is what you need to accept. You are in the MMR you play at and stressing yourself about a number you wish you had is a sure fire way to ruin the game for you or at the very least cause you to start buying accounts and constantly smurfing cause you are never truly happy with the number you get.
I must insist and have to be cruel to be kind. I range from about 4200-4400 and that will not change for me unless I severely change the way I play. Play the game for the game. Why is your rating so important? Get friends, get good, win games. Its a god damn game when did people forget that the number doesn't in some way get you ahead in life or gets you a VIP pass on holiday flights. Have fun, enjoy the game and who knows you might one day find yourself getting closer to a higher rating.
OA | Havoc Badger, that is so true. Sometimes I put so much effort into the game, trying to help and teach everyone, because I want to win badly. But you can only improve after you change the way you think. In example, if someone talks shit I can't stand but argue with them. Now, I mute them. So it lets me to focus on the game more!
So to conclude, a few advices:
1) FORGET your MMR. Just play to win and to have fun, but don't go counting your MMR after each loss. Counting only makes you do stupid things.
2) If you play solo, mute flamers after few warnings and focus on the game.
3) Little things change everything. As now you get/lose the same amout for win/loss, don't go throwing games. For each stupid loss you have to play +2 games to get in higher MMR.
4) Don't get lazy during the game. If you are carry, go LH every free second, if you are support, don't forget to carry wards. Even though you think: "Aaah it's not important, <X hero>(with invis) is dead so he won't come to the fight and we don't need sentries". Bam, he buy backs and because of that, your team gets wiped.

Your first goal should be 3k, then 4k and THEN 5k.
You're far away from being in a 5k league. Stop being like bogi and make whine threads, instead try to improve, watch ur own replays, find your mistakes, watch other replays and learn.
Its not a hard concept.
my experience is that u dont need to play snowballers or high impact hereos in that pool anymore...just pick the role that is needed and play good in it ( hasnt to be a stomp) and you will win most of your games.
at this mmr you wont need perfect map awareness or strategy but things like that will rise @5k mmr and get more important...also: positioning, focus , whom to disable , when to push, roaming gets effective!! etc
also as mentioned above: watch replays ! and learn !

firstly u have to pick according to the game, thou if u do most of the time u will be a support.
than..... u have to know ur mistake and improve on it

You can increase your chance of winning with like 80% or something if you dont play on EU West (so far its only been 4 Russian speaking games). Im currently experimenting with the servers so i played 10 out 15 games on eu west so far and its a complete disaster unimaginable ammount of flaming constantly about picks, lanes, solo mid, offlaner items, farm everything(not against me tho despite not playing that good) and the worst part is most of these flamers play horrible themself and still have such a big mouth its fucking insane and as i allready mention 40% Russians (personly i dont mind) im pretty confident they speak more english on the russian/eu east server than on west but i think the sadest part is it feels like the overall skill level is very weak its like its 1 top player per team instead of a decent balanced match, there also seem to be an awfull lot of all pick players. Still got 5 games on my experiment but im pretty sure how its gonna turn out when i compare it to the other servers on the only upside so far its very quick to find a game.
I am not expert or smth, but when I got my first MMR it was 2600. I know it is pretty bad. However I kind of keep watching pro-games, streams, and my own games' replays to learn something from them. My current MMR is 3500. It is still way far from to be great. As long as you keep improving your game and yourself, results will follow through.
How to get to 5k mmr? Lose 5 games in a row after calibration because clearly starting 7/0 mid in 10 mins makes your team buy rapiers for the enemy team.
