Dota 2 Strange Strats#1

Hey guys and gals!
Allow me to introduce myself, I am Licecolony and am a huge Dota2 fan. Despite my extensive experience of Warcraft 3, never had I played Dota for my ambitions were to go pro as a WC3 player... Little did I realize my 45% winrate meant that was most likely impossible. As of a year and half ago, I have entered the realm of Dota2, starting as the Naga Sea Bitch that we have all come to ADORE! After a few games of being flamed by surprisingly high level players for only having played a couple before, I had somehow learned to buy items, and that a siren song is not to sing your enemy's war-chant before they obliterate your team. Naga Sea Bitch was not my hero... but my time playing her taught me lessons through tough teachers: "TURN OFF YOUR FUCKING AUTO ATTACK NUB ROFLZ". Rolling On Floor Laughing Zebras? How does one laugh zebras? That, I still do not know. After being wrecked, I switched to a new "OP" hero known as Drow Ranger and continued to get wrecked. Today I still have tons of room to grow sitting at a mere 3600 MMR. HOWEVER, I have noticed that people usually don't have a plan when queuing into games apart from, "Kill, Get Money, Stomp", which only works 50% of the time! The purpose of this is for me to post different strategies you can execute with your group of friends in low stress games to have a bit of fun. That's what Dota is for right? Trying stupid shit and getting away with it while having an amazing time! Not flaming everyone because you're yelling at a computer game!

To sum it up, every week I'd want to post a different quirky lineup for you to have fun with. To start off, I'll begin with widely known strategies to see if people want this, and if they do, then I'll devise some of my own plans! I will also try posting ways to change up the lineup depending on your play-style and then explaining the weaknesses of each team!

Hope you enjoy and without further ado:

Healthy to Dead in 7 Seconds

The Concept of this lineup is simple! Everybody on your team should click R, and by doing so, the enemy team should all die!

Support Safelane Ancient Apparition: The Anti-Healer

AA prevents further healing!

[*]No Salves/Tangoes
[*]No Omni/Dazzle heals
[*]No Mek
NO FOUNTAIN REGEN!

On top of this, at level 16, it's a 578 Damage factoring in natural magic resistance, nuke to all hit without Aghs and 746 Damage with Aghs! If that wasn't enough, if the target drops below 12% health, it shatters resulting in an instant kill!

Support Safelane Silencer: Shut Up

As for Silencer? It's too good to pass on! Silencer hits everyone PERIOD and silences them at the same time! Say goodbye to shallow grave, shadow wave, purification and all that junk!

Silencer does a guaranteed 293 Damage to all targets as soon as he gets Aghs factoring in natural Magic resist and doesn't depend on levels for the silence!

Hard Carry Safelane Spectre: I'm A Ghost... Fuck You

Assuming the Spectre:

[*]Is Lvl 16
[*]Has a Lvl 1 Diffusal
[*]Has a Radiance
[*]Has Boots of Speed
[*]Has only 1 point in Attribute Bonus(Lvl 15)
[*]Has maxed Desolate
[*]Her damage range is averaged
[*]Enemies have 5 armor
[*]Enemies have base 25% magic resistance

Each Spectre illusion will do this:

Physical Damage:

[*]157 Damage from the 6 Illusion Physical hits

Magical Damage:

[*]341 Damage from the Radiance Burn

Pure Damage:

[*]455 Damage from the 7 Desolate Procs (Note:Desolate Procs at the BEGINNING of an attack, hence the 7th Proc)

[*]120 Damage from the 6 Diffusal Hits (Note: The mana loss is insignificant due to the silence)

Total Damage: 1073 Damage to EVERY enemy!

Midlane Zeus: Can't Run From Heaven

Invoker would go mid because he needs to reach HIGH level in order to hit a sunstrike that does a pure 475 Damage to ONE target and is a skillshot EVEN with vision! Compare this a a mid Zeus who is likely to be able to farm an Aghs and maybe a late game refresher, that's 480 Damage, to all targets with Aghs factoring in magic resist, and 960 Damage with refresher! Zeus is a far better pick strictly for this strategy! It also serves as anti-invis! Although Invoker allow better teamfight, you aren't REALLY expecting a teamfight right?

Nuker Offlane Nature's Prophet: Surprise Motha Fucka

Nature's Prophet's goal is to NOT DIE!! Prevent the enemy carry from farming at all costs and send treants to the enemy small pull camp to prevent leveled supports on the other side. If the wave is pushed to their tower, from the radiant offlane, pull the dire large
pull camp. Since it is impossible to know the damage of a Nature's Prophet ult EXACTLY, I'll assume it does about 360 Damage post magic resist (Not the accurate damage ranges from 169-465, so the ult would be average and assume no Aghs). Not only this, but he has a global teleport and since the enemies are silenced, he can right click at will!

The Bloodseeker Debate

I was hesitant to put Bloodseeker in the jungle or offlane but both of these are highly risky. An offlane solo Bloodseeker will get shut down and allow enemy carry to freely farm, while a jungling Bloodseeker would not allow NP to shift into the jungle were it needed! A Bloodseeker would give global vision of killable targets. Though handy, I feel that with Zeus and Spectre giving vision, this is not REQUIRED. If you feel confident in solo offlane as Bloodseeker, then it may replace the Prophet.

The Game-Plan

AA Spectre Silencer Tri Lane- A solo AA will harass the enemy offlaner with chilling touch
and have damage to deny while making sure to buy all the wards, while Spectre is given free farm. Though there will be almost NO kill potential here unless opponent get greedy, Spectre should be able to farm relatively well. Silencer will perform the needed pulls to farm for an Aghs scepter and pull at the 2:40 mark an unstacked camp to push with the 3 minute catapult spawn. Spectre will need a radiance and/or a diffusal, so farming well is extremely important!

Zeus Mid- A must have in the lineup, gives vision of all opponents allowing Spectre to know when to ult!

Offlane NP- Now the lack of Bloodseeker seems strange, but with a Zeus ult and Spectre follow up, NP will have more than enough time to let his ult ricochet across the map before obliterating the support CM who is frantically frostbiting the Spectre illusion.

Counters
Obviously, this is easily countered by many things:

[*]BKB- A BKB will just shut this down 100%, if the enemy is smart enough to get one, hope you can kill the rest of the team and the charges should get shorter and shorter! Even with a BKB, your team should be able to accrue the gold needed to break them.

[*]Early Ganks- With such a greedy lineup and a lack of stuns, you are VERY vulnerable to ganks, so make such the AA grabs all the wards needed to stay protected!

[*]Abbadon/Wraith King- Won't die from your combo!

[*]Casual Cloak- 15% additional spell resist will make your combo much more dependent on your AA hitting his ult!

Gosh I hope all this formatting works! Please note this is my first forum post of the sorts! Any advice or criticism not pertaining to my sexuality will be greatly appreciated and feel free to ask questions! I put TONS of work and research into this believe it or not!

For those who are curious, the damage done in total at Lvl 16 with parameters listed throughout the guide: 3537+ 12% Shatter

Wasn't this exact strat and lineup in the dotaroot forums?

[DFG] Whale King

The concept is pretty well known, wouldn't surprise me if it were
Actually I just just checked... And no http://dotaroot.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=250

1) The Lanes are different
2) The alternate heroes are different
3) No laning game-plan
4) Not very specific

As I said though, it's well known! :) I'm sure most forums will have some sort of mention to it.

Yea, I got a bit carried away doing research for this, but this week is absolutely crazy for me in class. Got finals in 3 weeks, so I haven't had much time to play any Dota... Sadness
