It is fine as it is, not my say as to how the admins should control their forums, but it would help if some people could restrain using the forums as a personal cesspool and what not.
Edit*
Maybe add in a feature like a replay repository using the available metrics such as verified players, total views, likes/dislikes etc as filters so that people can browse.
The people who complain about games wouldn't want to post in that area. They know that people will want to ignore that area and will want to post in other sections. I assume admins would be able to move topics?

@@hotsalza Precisely, this is why we should have them so that people who really couldn't care to hear that kind of stuff could effectively filter it out for more meaningful content.
@traxex I agree that we will still need a QQ area where people can vent.
the mods/site creators have never been bother with improving this forums. dotabuff does not even have a quote/reply button, which is a pretty basic feature for any forum.
Giff:
1. Essentials:
i. Quote/reply.
ii. Search function.
iii. Subforum organization.
2. Non-essentials:
i. Forum signatures
DB staff have stated multiple times that they dont care about the forums and only act if it gets completely out of hand.

Adding a category to topic creation, then adding a filter to the main page.
Reasoning.
> People can filter topics they want to see (e.g. I want to see all "coaching" or "off-topic" posts)
> Easier moderation with a single admin looking over a topic or community guided moderation (e.g. Havoc - Coaching, Melody - OffTopic)
> Adding topic control to feeds (e.g. I see when someone has posted under coaching or help wanted)
> Will help reduce the amount of troll posts as most of them would linger in Off-topic where people are free to post stuff.
Topic Filers
> Help wanted/needed topics
> Forum Suggestions topics
> Guides/items builds topics
> Coaching/Training topics
> Off-topic topics
> My game sucks and everyone sucks or I'm so great look at me topics
> Recruiting/looking for players topics
....and any additional ones people care to add.
