Capacitors sound worn or bulging, or could be a backlight issue that is faulty. Honestly monitors are cheaply fixed and if it is bad capacitors then ez fix at some cheap repair shop
I know of a problem with LG monitors where they go into power saving mode and the screen just goes black. The solution is to turn PC off, unplug it, unplug DVi/HDMi from both the monitor and the GPU. Then drain all power from the PC by holding down the power button for a few secs. Plug PC in again, connect DVi/HDMi and reboot. Hope that's the problem you're having.

i have a problem with my 21'' LG monitor.. started today it was black screen after i turned pc on from sleep mode, but i could hear sounds on backround . when i turn it off and on i can normally see everything for 2-3 seconds and then again black u know what the problem is? is monitors backlight causing this shit? now im using 15'' old Dell monitor and my eyes cant handle it... if u know a solution or whats causing that , 10/10 would appreciate.
