ranked will be overpopulated by people who do not know anything as well, so there´s no difference between playing ranked right after the update is released, or waiting couple of weeks and tying stuff in normal MM.
My advice is play normal till you learn about the perks of the changes then utilize those in ranked once people learn how they all work. Otherwise you will get jungle farmers rushing aghanims every game and it will be ass.

Btw since i already made the post ill give my opinion, the meta is clearly open , idk what the "best strat" will be but late game carries r kinda op , rat is extremly viable again , sniper is situational troll is less then that imo , anti mage , tiny , leshrac will be the new op heroes , mark my words im 100% sure that am will be the most op hero in the game , lonedruid is extremly strong now and ta will snowball the hell out of a game
For me the patch is good i love it just like i loved 6.83 before it became sniper troll , in 3 months we will know the true meta, most likely in ti .
For my games it will be good since im really good with most of the heroes that r in the patch , lycan is strong now btw
