well be more specific , you need help with : role, laning, items, skillbuild?
all of them, this hero looks quite strong in ganker lineup
i go 1-1-4 at lv 7 then 4-1-4 lv 10
and item usually urn > brown boot >veil > bm > arcane
is it good enough?
first of all i would suggest going offlane.
he is strong with levels and items but other heroes are favored over him in mid lane.
he can work as a support, but you have to be very active and have a team that has good synergy with es (stuns and slows).
skillwise i think that 4 1 1 or 3 1 2 is better than 1 1 4, because of the stun, damage and manacost being the same and stun being more important for landing a combo.
items: for offlane i usually find the need for a bottle for sustain and rune control.
i also try to get a early boots and wand, and urn asap.
from then it's situational. i usually finish treads and then i feel the need for a dagger or forcestaff for mobility.
blademail is only good if you have level advantage (meaning high hp) but in your item progression i see it useless.
in snowball games (where i have 4+ early kills) i tend to go for dagon, because of the easy kill on pretty much any agi or int hero.
veil is good when you have another good aoe damage dealing hero (venomancer comes to mind)
arcane is a must on support.
euls is good against silences and landing a easy combo.
also glimmer cape can work wonders on es.
in a game where i go a bit more physical i can also pick up drum of endurance.
against some high phys dpser (pa comes to mind) halberd works well.
and when you are a core position and they have a lot of magical lockdown (nukes, stuns,silences) bkb is good.
overall gameplay : just leech xp against a hard lane and ganking mid at 6 is a must (or even the trilane if you can pull that off).
in 1 v 1 try to be agressive but know your place.
this hero provides felxibility and the itembuild i guess depends on the person.

Small advice:
if your on radiant spec q first if at top rune an oppurtunity presents itself to punt someone on cliff at top rune. Otherwise go grip to pull a creep into trees to get stuck.
If dire and offlane go grip to yank one of your first wave creeps into trees.
and about aghanims, i find it good against necrophos ulti, meepo or some othe heavy 1 target, because coupled with dagger it saves teammates.
for offensive purposes most of the times i find it useless because of the unorganized pub play.
You don't ever blink up Aghs ult someone grip them to you then punt them deep into base if not well?
Talking high ground defense wise.
if you are stuck in the defensive and you pull an aegis gyro into base i think you just make his job easier
seriously tho i see it more as a defensive item, and i don't really like going defensive es so i almost never get it
also forgot to mention shiva is a good pickup as a ~4th item many times, and cuirass when your team needs the armor
