idk mb we are lucky but i think i have like 70% winrate with deadshot, i remember u always did what u were supposed to
If you want to climb playing support you must first learn eveyr other hero/lane/position, then you can play a good support
90% of my teammates are like Benao overconfident as fuck but unlike him they really do suck balls. All my games are so fucking toxic everyone thinks they are the next hot shit and that RTZ should bow to them because they are so next level
Ninja its easier to win when I know I can trust my carry to actually carry if I give him space to farm. Also our team mmrs were like 1k lower than our solos :D
The most important thing you can do as support is enable your cores to have at least descent laning stage and can farm. If they are farming uncontested, you've done really good job and if they cant carry after that, then blame is on them. Also make some good smokes later in game, some good rotations can get you tower/free rosh, etc.
As i carry/offlane player i just love supports that know when to pulll and when to harass offlaner, and if i'm farming uncontested, they rotate to kill mid or help push other lanes, and not just suck exp. Also if support can positiion good in fights and use spells correctly, fights are usually 5 for 0 or close to that. Dont overkill people in fights, save spells for more kills etc. Thats just my advice, you probably know most of that already :)
The biggest problem I seem to have is that I can farm in higher mmr games. Like I seem to fall behind in farm alot
It is possible but extremely hard to do for the simple fact that past a certain point all you can do in enable your cores to do what they do best...but its up to them to actually be able to finish the job that you started.
My advice is understand the meta and understand which supports or good with, and against it. You can't afford to get salty and supporting isn't for anyone, if you're a confident enough core player I would suggest mixing and matching support with offlane which is what I tend to do.
"Understand the meta" - sounds good. But meta is something that majority of players agree with. I don't see such agreement (not in pubs at least). Or may be it's meta to have different views on current meta? And what about random-pickers meta?
Yeah thats what I think is difficult to do, counterpicking the meta especially in solo que. Its pretty much the same 5 heros that pop up every game in theory its easy to draft a team against that but to coordinate that in a pub is much harder
i like to win with supports by zoning out the offlaner, that is why i typically pick silencer, harras the fuck out of the offlaner and get freefarm for the carr.y. use ulti both offensively and defensively but you need good minimap awareness and shit, same as positioning.
The difference between usual/most 4k and 5k supports are that 5k supports generally don't afk in ur lane the first 12minutes. They try to make things happen, compared to 4k supports that just sits in ur lane making nothing happen.
If you play offlane in 4k you can win every single offlane simply by warding the pull. Cause nobody dewards and they will sit 3 people afk top doing literally nothing while u still get ur levels.
@Benao A support Silencer is something I eat for breakfast in the offlane. Takes two seconds of efficeint talk in voicechat with your team to crush a support silencer lane.
How is Abaddon weak in this meta? Abaddon fuckin rapes lineups that has Bounty Hunter in them
spamming WW does help. Even works in Normal Skill so probably its your incompetitiveness thats your problem.
Aight jk peace to the world. :D
abbadon is imba guys in any case, just the player using it has to have a fucking brain and know that shield removes track.
i was playing bounty one game and 4700 abbadon didn't know that shield removes track OpieOP

just see the replay at early game, this is how to change hero role to fucked up level
The most important thing for a support to do, is organize the team. You need to spend your free time that you have being the coach of the team, predicting where the enemy will be and what they will do. Tell your team when it's time to back, when it's time to Roshan, and when it's time to defend tier three's, not two's.
In other words... You can't play a 5k support, but you can be a 5k leader, while supporting. So, my advice to you is to learn how to read the map, and work on map awareness.
Saksa, the top leaderboard 8k guy, is actually a fuckin support player. Just played vs his team few days back in Ex-Yu cup and he actually fuckin owns so i'd suggest to see some of his replays. A great support player can win the game alone with his rotations and enable the cores to snowball over oponents. If you dont believe me, just watch this this :) (skywrath won the lane for Suma1l)
Managed to get from 4k to 5.5k playing 95% support, usually 5th pos.
Core players start to play better and better as you climb, making your position more impactful if you do it right.
Try not to spam one hero, pick as late as your team allows you to get a hero that counters/fares well against the heroes enemy already picked, or has an exceptional synergy with heroes your team picked/will pick.
Try to be more efficient by stacking while you roam in your own jungle. If your team has a core that can farm that it would be a great boost for the whole team.
Lastly, stick to, follow and help more the players in your team that you see they playing better. That way you can do more than trying to help a guy that can't play properly, thus making yourself more useful to the team.
