General Discussion - Death Ward not part of hero damage? - DOTABUFF

So I was under the impression that hero damage included damage from the hero AND from hero-controlled units. But after running some practice games as a test, it seems like Witch Doctor's death ward is not included in his hero damage (the test was: play a game where wd uses 10 autoattacks, then play a game where witch doctor uses 10 auto attacks and death ward).

It should count. Seeing the stats of any random game with a Witch Doctor, you'll notice that his Hero Damage is far too high for it to only count his meager auto attacks and the often maxed last Maledict.

I always wondered how the game deals with this, but was too lazy to check. Good job.

But death ward is classified as a ward. What about, for example, chen's creeps? Check that out.

Sorry, I should have been more clear -- I'm talking about the game client, not dotabuff. For instance, if you open up the combat log, you will see no mention of damage coming from death ward.
