Well if you're looking for pure bulk then bracers might be better, I remember a game where matrice stacked 3 bracers early because he needed bulk before going big items and 3 bracers give you 18str for 1550 gold while drums give you only 9 str for 1850 gold so you get 2x str for less gold, that is ofcourse, if you're aiming for bulk only.

The active is insanely good, I think drums are must have on this hero in every game, unless you're completely shitstomped so hard in lane you have to jungle from level 4.
I like going Aquila, brown boots, bracer, power treads, then drums. After that I go manta into skadi. I just prefer skadi over s&y because of the extra hp and reliable slow.
