A good player, playing well in unranked, calibrates high but is dropped to the max calibration point. My first ranked game on my smurf was a 5.3 average game, afaik DD-Sama's first was 5.6 but he still calibrated at 4.5 and went up from there.
the first ranked game is played on ur current hidden mmr, on the 2nd one u drop to high 4k regardless

but calibrated 4840 anyways

Relax, its the first MMR game, he will drop to avg 4-5k if he RLY STOMP. (something like 700+ gpm and xpm) - 6.0+ kda. Anyways, he should had stomped hard the unraked games to be grounded so high.

I checked it out and he was playing ability draft with 5 man stack vs the same 5 stack all the time. I guess some kind of bot abuse right there.
According to reddit posts the abuse appears to be done on servers with low player numbers, at ungodly hours and in unpopular game modes. This way they queue their bots and are almost guaranteed to get matched with them. A pretty safe way to get wins for free.
How do they keep getting matched with their bots, and how do they keep increasing to 7K when there has to be some losers that will have their hidden MMR decreased to the point where they can't get put in the same game?
