Dagger most of the time. SB if there's someone's passive you want to be disabled. Both if you're balling.
I think Echo Sabre is also a solid choice.
HotD because everyone gets it now.
I also find Desolator to be extremely effectve at mid-game fighting. Maelstrom when you know you got stronger late game or is against illu heroes to make a Mjollnir.
Not in any exact order, just go with the game.
1)BM->Armlet->Echo
2)BM->Echo->Armlet
2)Armlrt->Echo->BM
4)Echo->Armlet->BM
Which you think better and why
ya I looked that before I post,seem like alot of human build echo but not in high mmr
Apparently remove Echo. Get Armlet first, depending on the enemy team get BM first. Usually not enough damage to reflect, so most of the time opt for Armlet. Dagger is a must. Maelstrom over Deso I guess?
none of those, echo is awful for this hero
anyway go armlet first because its an early game fighting item that increases your farm speed by the most and also helps you the most in most fights
armlet -> BM -> blink -> basher -> AC
armlet -> BM -> rad -> blink
armlet -> BM -> silver edge
armlet -> blink -> deso
you dont need blademail every game either, armlet is almost every game. blinks really really good
mael/MJ is good as well
BKB maybe fifth or fourth item so that charges last long enough that you can deal significant damage on a reasonable amount of time.
Depends. Armlet is so sweat on WK; it's never a mistake to rush armlet on WK. BM is really situational. Sometimes better buy maelstrom instead.
From my experience the best build would be Treads > Armlet > Dagger > BM > Radiance > BKB > Moonshard (and after a while replace BM to Mjolnir) but the efficiency of this build isn't the best cuz when you are farming radiance you are doing it for quite sometime. So, if the game goes really good for you I would rush radiance at 15-17 mins and then get armlet+bm+dagger etc. Radiance helps you farm a lot and it's great for pushing.
here's my steam build which helped me to get out from 3k bracket.
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=795640555
There's also another item build which was really popular when silver edge was released.
Treads>Armet>Silver Edge>BM>Mjolnir>Abyssal
This one works vs AM pretty well cuz he cant solo kill you. (no detection)
some items that are a bit weird but efficient .
-
Echo sabre is great since you have a lot of damage and two hits in a row even without crit are killing enemy supports. Wouldn't buy this vs fat heroes.
-
Mom is great too. You stun, press mom > win fight. Now mom only reduces armor which is sick. Also helps to farm faster and is a really cool early game item since you are pretty mobile even without dagger.
-
Drums are great if you are playing without dagger. They give a lot of ms and build with drums+bm+radiance is pretty good too. Would do this build if you are snowballing like crazy and need extra auras in your team.
P.S. Slasher(Lazarus) plays a lot on radiance WK and has good winrate with this build.
Logic behind radiance = I won't have problem to deal damage even if I get kited or chainstunned, plus WK is a hero that enjoys being in the midle of teamfight anyway
in my experience, he can rape anyone with sabre and deso..
1-> dps: armlet > blink/ Shadow blade > sabre > deso > bkb
2-> tanky: blade mail > blink > radiance > bkb
ive seen more succes in this 2 builds
Echo is bad in high MMR guides like what JD showed because people know how to kite better, so kite = useless Echo Sabre. Better to invest in items that directly improve your survivability (Armlet and BM) and initiation items (SB and Dagger) because your primary mode of transportation is walking.
still dont understand why any hero would ever get radiance. except for spectre and naga and alch
Ya I don't think I should get echo if I go Armlet
PT->Armlet imo will take about 12mit if still go Echo it will out in middle game and in that time I think get other item is better since most player will already get their 1sthe core item
Rad can be taken on any hero who stays long in the fight, but it is primarily built for farm. Did you know people used to buy Rad on Weaver? His ability to weave and surivev around fights and target the supports who take the most damage from the burn damage made Rad an okay pick on him, it also allowed him to farm on off-times.
Can be situational too if maybe 4, perhaps 3 in the enemy team had a Dagger to fuck up initiations/escapes.
I don't really get the echo hate, it'll help you farm faster, do more dps, but it also has int and mana regen so you won't be in danger of not proc'ing ult in any normal game. Vs like a nyx or am it won't be enough but vs most others it'll let you use your stun to your heart's content.
Whether you get blink or not kind of depends on your role and team comp but I would get it in 75% of games. It really helps your farm as well moving between camps/lanes and you can kill supports if you crit with just a blink echo sabre stun combo. Sometimes wk though is the hard carry and you have a lot of other setup and you don't need to go blink but that's rare. Even if he is safe lane you usually are a semi carry along with mid or some offlaner and want your power peak around 20 mins right as you have armlet, blink and a third item.
If you want single target melt your face dps then get echo and deso. If you want farming aoe dps mjollnir. Radiance is good for just sitting in fights being obnoxious. Basher/abyssal if your team needs lockdown. AC is always good.
dire wolf cause ur stupid
mana sustain for heroes like wk is not their job
thats why pro teams exists and u still noob hard
normal pubs are not pro games. The stats and mana sustain help a lot. Level 10 wk has 486 mana with wand and the +15 dmg talent. Add echo and he has 606. That's almost a full extra blast you can cast and with regen in a fight it certainly is. Otherwise two blasts and you barely have enough to cover your rest. Of course there's wand, but sometimes wand alone isn't enough. And the regen is a huge difference, it more than doubles your regen at those stats so you will enter every fight with mana.
And that's not the sole reason for echo, it's just a reason which shouldn't be discounted. The burst potential with blink echo and mortal strike is huge.
I've played a few games with WK. Weird thing is Deso Armlet works way better than Armlet Echo Sabre
Echo Sabre is important on two things, Proc hit passive or One Shot in Blink
WK is durable carry with a constant high damage, unlike Sven who has ultra high damage when Red (R'ed D: See what I did there)
If you want to proc crit it would be better if you let luck decides and have a deadly deso crit strike instead of a weak ass double hit
And first core Echo Sabre always loses the game, I get so tilted when they buy that. They can't function at all, no damage, no initiation.
WK still needs to farm, and an Echo totally sucks for that.
Anyways...
Midas WK anyone?
situational based on the game
@haffy- that makes no sense. Echo saber isn't bad because of kiting. the whole point is to do 2 fast hits before they can kite you.
the echo also solves mana problems to help ensure he can stun several times and still rez. its less about mana sustain and more about mana pool.
Just played a 1st match of WK solo rank after get to 4K.
Doing Armlet-BM-Sliver E build,seem good.Won a comeback after snowball by enemies from start to 40mit game.
I think I get why ES is not good item,its because you either build AC or (Skadi/MoonS) I like build this 2 item.
ES is too early game item,Hyperstone is almost better then ES if it's in long fight and pushing.
And for Midas,I don't think I would like that,last time I use to every WK match build it but I stuck in 3.8K with that build.
i find echo to be a nice pickup. I still have plenty of damage and the extra attack speed and mana is nice.
If I active BM and enemies active BM also,will I return the damage that his BM return to me when I hit him?
Edit :Will my BM return the dmg return by his BM? xD
I don't think you ask deso or echo sabre, I think you go for both. Armlet, echo sabre, deso at ~20 mins, wk is pretty unstoppable single target at that point. It's much like naix's dmg.
i remember seeing somewhere about echo being good when u go radi first and like go fighting with radi and echo its pretty good i think. but surely echo isnt the to-go item.
Enemies kite = u gg on that build?
I will just get Armlet then go for team fight item like BM and AC ect.
I would build him for a team fight hero with carry position but not so single target hitter.
My Ursa burst dmg is 2k+ in level 12 (2sec) no need WK to be so burst but more durable better?
Sabre echo is the worst item for Wk, like buy dagon for Am.
My current build is:
Armlet-Blade mail-Scepter. Rest of items are situational.
I dont get this Echo Sabre hate either. People somehow assume that its your final slot. Its just an early game item thats all. You sell it at 35+min mark and get something instead. Its pretty decent on WK because WK has two passive skills that heavily rely on right click. Echo Sabre allows you to double right click. Moreover, sometimes WK has problems with mana early game and his 1st and 4th skills are mana dependent. Also if you rush Echo Sabre ~10 mins as the first slot it could even secure some kills for you with extra mana pool for the first skill, double strike and slow.
Echo Sabre would be OP if you could dissasemble it and get bloodthorn & bkb from parts.
WK has early game items. imagine having ur inventory full as armlet treads blink echo blademail tp. you have one more slot and then ur fucked, none of those items upgrade
echo < armlet as a first item
echo < blink or blademail as a second item
as a third item echo sucks
if ur hitting a tower and blink in you wont get the double hit
the double hit slow is wasted in stun duration
you get as much / more dps from a raw dps item (ARMLET / MAELSTROM)

Rush Blade mail or Armlet after PT?and what's follow up?
