its situational to his game. It was so he could splitpush without getting anal'd.
there was no point in him going Veil/Maelstorm etc in a game vs 5 teamfight heros (warlock, sandking, magnus, jug)
so instead he got a linkens, which means the only way they could kill him was with one of those ulti's. (block the sk stun, and you're gucci)

^ye but it wasnt just one or even 2 games. I saw it from him a lot. I also seem him go treads on sniper while everyone else builds phase.

i think he is treadswitch god. sniper and ember are like amazing treads heroes if you are that good at switching it.

Aquila+Treads cost = Veil cost more or less, but you're more tanky

Even 2.5k players can tread switch properly, tread switch god sounds cringy and stupid.

2.5k players can treadswitch properly, but they cant wreck 8k pro players in messy teamfights without once failing to treadwitch correctly...

and its rly hard to not lose any efficiency when you treadswitch during a fight in example.

That's a nice little addition to the fight, but really, no matter how good you are switching it, the difference in a messy teamfight will be minimal.

Its hard enough to win teamfights and keep track of who is where and casting/attacking who but to keep track of where your treads need to be as well is ridiculous

This portion of the video explains it very well. This specifically talks about ember and why Miracle can be seen building it differently.

You will notice pros won't tread switch when a fight suddenly starts because they want cast skills as quick as possible instead of wasting time pressing tread switching button

Veil wont save ur ass nor has mobility

U get faster ahpere if u skip items

Miracle never even go veil he go after mjolnir radi blink etc

what we see here is that miracle relies more on survability ( thats why he has 0 deaths in pro matches very alot ) than buying items that can kill suport in 2 seconds first 10 -15 min

for him veil is waste item ( after 30 40 min veil is kinda shit and need to be replaced) and he goes insta items that will secure him survivr plus sphere gives regen for farm aswell

i never buy tranquil lance sticks talon and stoun at 9 10 min

i go stoun and farm Ring o health and Vita booster and i have vanguard and min 6 i alllry farm ancients and get blink very soon blademail too 15 min all that if i do good
