Because you can leave Forged Spirits in lanes; in which you gain exps and rat at the same time. While you, Invo, help out and have more presence in clashes. At least, thats what I think.
I don't get the +1 Spirit if there are flash-farmers, like heroes who can clear creep-waves in an instant.
cause u already have max exort if ur level 15 so the exp isnt as significant as it would be if it was a level 10 talent. you get levels so fast anyways cause u farm and have a midas, so you might aswell get the full hero.
In a momentum based meta which focuses on taking an advantage and snowballing it you'll find +30% xp is usually always better.
If you're behind or playing a really close game as invoker you single goal is to make sure your spells are doing the most damage possible when your opponent beings a fight to you. This is especially important if you're playing against a team who is pressuring your objectives and slowly stripping away map control.
While the forged spirit is nice it won't help you scale anywhere near as quickly. Invoker is a xp reliant hero and needs it equally as much as items.
In short taking + 1 forge spirit does give you more damage output in the short term, however it won't help your overall casting damage output anywhere from 10 mins onwards

why do ppl take +1 forge spirit instead of 30% xp gain? i think the xp gain is quite huge
