Roaming support rarely buy drums. You have to initiate with slow and skill slow but not as bad as qop slow.
If you have in your team a follow up disable to your initiations i believe drums is a pretty good item, especialy if you're stomping the game you can take objetives pretty fast.
If you can optimize your farm as roammer to buy an early talisman of courage and the drums you'll have a great impact in the mid game as well.

I usually roam around with MK and recently been thinking that Drums might be a good item for him. However, it seems to be a rather unpopular item (on the hero).
Can someone explain to me why? It gives survivability, MS speed, utility to the whole team and as such I thought it might be good item on a roaming support.
The only explanation I came up with is it doesn't help with his ultimate or that the item is just not considered worth the money as it is rather expensive? Anyone care to explain...?
