200 ping is high man . My ping is usually 16-31 below 60 is okay

why not play ranked in SA if it's much lower ping for you?

I can't, they took away the option to play ranked in SA. So the 200 ping is the lowest ranked option I have, that's why my friends and I usually just play normal matches

200 ping's not too terrible if it's constant, but it definitely doesn't fall under optimal playing conditions

As someone from SA server I have friends here who calibrated on EU at 200-250 ping. It definitely impacts your performance but isn't completely unplayable. Just don't pick heroes like puck who require fast reactions to things. You'll probably calibrate a few 100 MMR below your true MMR because of the delay. I suggest playing a few unranked games on EU to get used to the delay and see if you're willing to play with it.

I personally never bothered to calibrate. Played unranked on EU a few times and I didn't enjoy playing with the delay (I get 350ms for some reason while all my friends have 200. Probably Telkom did something stupid with the lines in my area). If you really want to know more or less what your MMR is then give it a try. I don't really care so haven't done it.

And "Lets put a smile on that" is correct, packet loss is way more harmful.

200 ping is pretty bad but you would probably still be able to play almost decently. If you really wanna play ranked and raise your mmr then go for it, you'll eventually get used to it, but keep in mind that playing heroes with skillshots like Pudge or Mirana will be much harder. My ping goes from 80 to peaks of 550 even, sometimes it drops to 40 by miracle.

Hahaha thanks guys appreciate it, ja met Telkom is dit maar moeilik. You guys are right, I think I'll try a couple of normal games then I'll play ranked. Yeah it stays at about 200-220, so will try the seasonal since it's been awhile since I played rank hopefully get my low mmr up

packet loss is more of a problem for me thats why i dont play ranked much either. Its really sad to see your hero getting stuck during team fight "C

ping on sea is usually 100 but packet loss can be 30-40 sometime
