I think techies in a pro match up would be kinda of an unfair advantage with certain teams. You're kinda forcing the match to go late game, and making up hill a nightmare.
Put pro level Tinker's in that mix and you got yourself a war of attrition just trying to get to high ground.
inb4 5k players come in and rant how he should stay banned and pray to Gaben to get him removed from the game.

Even though this is the old Techies, this shows that Techies can end the game fast and swift, and shows what this hero can do in the right hands.

It seems Valve dont want a supposedly trash and annoying hero to be at TI, not because he is the aforementioned, but Techies make predicting the winner of TI easy.
The last 2 TI's, both teams that played Techies on the main stage won TI, but only EG managing to successfully pull it off. Back then, Aui said that is only a fraction of what he can do with Techies.
So, I hope Valve re-add Techies to CM before TI, the potential of this hero is so high in the right hands.
