1. rarity used to mean something back when commons were commons and rares were actually rare.
immortals were these 50-1000$ items
immortals are now commons.
2. not really
3. because those 2 heroes can fight, they're not that greedy, also those teams will compensate by having strong lanes.
4. hairy freak, he knows what he's doing, most of the time.
5. part 1 was terrible with that camera movement, i hope they don't keep that for part 2.
6. nope, invoker needs to cast a lot of spells, without scepter he gets to be 3 spell voker XD.
veil is orientated towards early>mid game fighting, getting it after scepter/oc is basically useless as your enemies will have pipes and bkb's then which devalues it by a lot, since resistance is not additive but rather multiplicative.
7. it's intentional, just make a 2nd one or spawn a hero
or spawn a custom hero with -createhero *name* enemy
8. shift queue is very simple, you hold shift and it queues every action after another
attack commands will keep going till the unit is killed OR if it's an attack ground command till every unit is killed till the destination is reached.
also, even if the hero is technically standing on the spot of the destination, it still keeps attacking till it kills everything, then re-positions back to that destination where the command will end.
9. ye
3. With sven you just generally prepare stacks for taking later in case he gets shat on in the lane, and he rarely ever gets shat on in the lane. Invoker on the other hand has good early game impact in some lineups for a greedy mid, and past aghs he gets a huge power spike.
8. Hold shift while doing the action you want to queue? you should find green flags marking your queued action to confirm a successfull queue.
9. This is just exactly what pros need, especially those new ones trying to break into the scene. More events = more $$$ = more sustainability for players = in some way, more motivation to avoid another 322 scandal
Don't think svens greedy at all. Invoker yes. But not sven. He can fight really early with supports stacking for him and he has a few items + god str.
Sven isnt greedy at all. Invoker is greedy but he can contribute a lot with sunstrike though
Yeah I guess the question is more directed towards these picks pre-7.00, before God's Strength was changed.
Another question I wanted to add yesterday:
10. Has anyone watched the replay on this sub-15 minute run of the siltbreak campaign that currently tops the leaderboards on Dotabuff?
https://www.dotabuff.com/matches/3352526578
Now, I'm not gonna use the words "hacks" or "scripts" without full knowledge of what happens but there's definitely some questionable shit on there that makes the run that short.
I watched the thing and they seemed to teleport all heroes to a zone much ahead when they couldn't defeat a certain boss. They also didn't need to go to zones 3 and 4 because of the orb bug at the gate. Also, after the temple checkpoint, they immediately teleported to the final zone skipping a huge segment in between because they died and didn't accumulate enough farm because of the speed run.
@cookie
silt part 1 is not terrible cz of the way camera moves, thats exactly the type of pov all the games of the kind have; but those mostly are quite old games, and they were most popular a long while ago.
@TripleSteal- Yeah, it feels unnatural when you first play it, but after you get used to you, you realise there's actually less mouse movements needed compared to the traditional Dota system. What I'm more concerned about is the story of the campaign. That's one of the major points of any campaign in any game of any genre. A short comic sketch in the beginning with nothing more than hidden notes along the way that no one even reads but just finds for the sake of the achievement isn't enough. I want cutscenes!

1. What makes an item have a certain rarity? Like, I know you get immortals in treasures and arcanas by indirectly paying hundreds of dollars and levelling up your battle pass. What about the rest? What are "legendary" items?
2. Is no one wondering why the Techies arcana is still in the Rylai's Winter Blessing roulette wheel? I mean, there are many other arcanas that are better but even cheaper to give away by Valve, but as of now, I'd rather get something else than that shit.
3. Why do some teams draft 2 very greedy cores Sven and Invoker in the same game, sometimes even in the first phase? I have seen this happening for quite a long time now, even before 7.00. And they don't get shit on, so what makes it work?
4. What streamers do you guys like to watch, and why? I follow a huge number of streamers on Twitch, primarily Dota 2, but my favourite is singsing for his humour, ability to go any hero as a roaming support and insane skill regardless of how serious he is.
5. What do you guys expect from the Siltbreaker campaign: Part 2? The subtitle for it reads "A Vault in the Deep", and I guess it will most likely be in the "Dark Reef Prison" that Slark talks about so much, also since it will stay in theme for this year's TI.
6. Has anyone considered or actually bought a veil of discord on Invoker? I only wonder if its any good since you see many Invokers going double Null and since Ember has transitioned into an early game teamfighter despite being relatively squishy, could an exort Invoker too?
7. Why can't I move the dummy target in the "Demo Hero" section while trying new builds or random stuff on a certain hero? Is it intentional? Should it be?
8. Can someone give me a brief, step-by-step procedure on how to shift queue? I tried this both with quickcast and normal cast and couldn't for the life of me get to work it. Since I primarily use quickcast, is it even possible to shift queue with it, and do it faster?
9. 11 Majors and 11 Minors for the next season. Don't get me wrong, I love my Dota and I love watching professional tournaments even more, but isn't this a tad too much? Also, RIP everyone's sleep schedule.
