In the games that I will pick DK, going Soul Ring and Wand is enough for sustain during the laning phase, and I feel bottle is nerfed to the ground and not worth the resources. My to go build is Treads, Armlet (too good to pass up for its cba), and SnY. Depending on situations I'd consider Dagger or Silver but most of the time I'd finish with AC. I typically skip raw damage items on DK except MKB for evasions. Also, I feel Lance is underrated on DK.
@Strongest Decoy ye 2k insight you could use, you have a 52% winrate on DK and you bought bottle on DK 2 of your last three games over 4 months ago. Not 1 soul ring in 38 games. Meh
You can play DK as a position 1/2/3. The common build is Soul Ring into treads, armlet, blink/SB, BKB or AC(situational).
If you're facing a heavy right clicker get Heaven's Halberd.
I prefer buying drums when I play him as an off laner ( https://www.dotabuff.com/matches/3669864759 ) but it's up to you.
