Your MMR will go down, but your medal doesn't derank. Even if you were Divine 5 and fell all the way to 1K MMR, you'll still retain the Divine 5 medal.
Your updated, diminished medal will only show during the 6 month reset, where we'll all have to recalibrate our ranked again
