It doesn't add up! I hit Legend 4 at 3850 hahaha. As it stands, I'm only 3905 which isn't even enough to hit Legend 4 according to that chart.
I believe calibration uses hard MMR values to assign you a medal. Whatever happens from after calibration onwards depends on metrics which they dont show us.
I am Crusader, and just 1k mmr. As Cookie mentioned, I calibrated to Guardian 0 - which matched my MMR at that point. I advanced to Crusader 0 even tho I gained just 150 mmr.
yo i have a question
let say u calibrated on solo ( at ancient 2)
but you're still playing party ranked which isn't calibrated yet
how does the system determine the medal (rank) when party ranked has been finished calibration?

Hi I'm currently sporting a Legend 4 medal with a solo rating of 3905 and a party rating of 3750 (Dotabuff here: https://www.dotabuff.com/players/217527814).
A friend of mine told me he hit Ancient 0 immediately upon hitting 4k flat solo. So I'm wondering if I'm expected to rank up TWICE in the space of 100 mmr (3900-4000) ??? That seems sort of weird to me.
Help?
