Ok lets pretend you are not braindead and valve really is forcing 50% win rate so archon gods like u can't climb, it still means everyone is on the same playing field, so if player A to X amount of skill to climb from 2k to 3k then same applies for you. You are typical player that thinks that when they win easy games they are good players, and when they lose hard games their team is bad, in reality this happens to every player at any MMR if they are not good enough.
this guy thinks supports controlling the game
how clueless u can be to think supports have any impact lmao
i call rosh 3 times when enemy egg is on cd, my troll dives enemy tier 2 to kill a slark and dies lmfao and its not just that game. literally 8/10 games nobody listens and we lose game csause enemy URSA doing rosh when we hitting a tier 1 xDXDXDDDD
u wanna have impact? pick a broken hero like tinker mid, get an aghs and enjoy beating brainless monkeys till 7k mmr
then start smurfing in 5k to raise your ego :))
Looking at some of your recent games, the number of denies that you pull off is really disgusting. You had a pretty good winrate on Pudge, but the winrate of other heroes kinda trash. So it goes to show that you have tried playing as carry, but failed to get any substantial progress with those heroes. If you cant play well as carry, how do you even play well as support?
Really think its yr teammates? I just saw the dmg output of yr Grim. It was so horrible I dont understand what yr hero is doing most of the time. My Grim is consistently doing one of the most dmg in my team, most of the time 2nd most hero dmg, my Jakiro easily does the most hero dmg 1/3 of the time.
If your teammates cant carry, then make sure you step in to fill the gap. Look at the drafts during the recent Major, how OB Neon and Beastcoast play around with 5 semicores. If you keep to your own traditional way of thinking, then I dont see how you can improve from there.
Just pick support, keep pma, make glimmer/force/heals every game, pull camps without fucking over your core, be a meatshield for your cores, stack camps, do rotations, Always stand behind your cores every game. Manage to do atleast 3-4 of those things and you will casually climb upto 4k.
Also, stop picking high skill requirement supports. KOTL, Rubick, they are not something low mmr support can play/ low mmr cores can play around. You play those wrong and you go from 0 impact to negative impact.
Play easy supports like AA, CM, Lich, Ogre, Omni, WD. Simple supports, that don't require thinking when using spells, so you can focus on important stuff like positioning.
Hey, it is possible to rank up from Archon to legend , ancient divine if you know what you’re supposed to do on the map in general. I ranked from Archon 3 to Ancient 1 playing only Winter Wyvern position 5. I can give you some tips if you want.
Perhaps making an effort to befriend the good cores you come across and queuing with them in future games would help, if you really are that good of a support I don't see why they wouldn't be down.
i calibrated legend before with 3.9k MMR, then after playing a lot with a very bad internet connection im stuck at crusader 1, im at crusader 5 now, trying to climb back.

Hi. I'm a 2.8k Archon 5 Support player. When I first played Dota 2, I calibrated 2k. As I kept playing, I reached my peak in 2016 which was 3.6k. After that, the time I've got to spend in playing Dota keep getting less. Anyway, in 2019 I once again got back to 3.3k in Legend Bracket (I partied with my friends). Every season reset, I play my calibration games SOLO. It always results to an Archon placement, though the least I got placed on was Archon 3. Now, there seems to be some sort of a barrier that keeps me from setting foot onto the 3k bracket again. I pretty much applied everything I have read regarding MMR grinding. I spammed Disruptor and got a 7-win streak on him, then after that Valve would give me braindead players that literally have no idea about the game mechanics. Valve would keep doing it for about 4-5 matches, players with very similar behaviors to the ones I have previously played with-- which would result into ending my win streak and the beginning of my lose streak. I then practiced and mastered Grimstroke, the most I got was a 4-win streak, after that Valve would once again give my braindead teammates while the opposing team play like immortal with their supreme teamwork and coordination, which would go on for about 3-4 matches. I again spammed Disruptor, but this time I got a 3-lose streak on it which finally gave me the idea of something like "It is impossible to rank up as a support in this bracket".
After spamming and spamming and getting win-lose win-lose, I kinda got tired of it and instead started picking the heroes that I already know. Nothing really changed compared to when I was spamming Disruptor and Grimstroke. I get wins, then the next game I lose. When I try to take it back, I'd get a loss. Mind you, the only time I play is when I know I'm in my peak mental condition. I don't play when I have headaches, when I am in an unpleasant mood, when I am sad, when I am bored. I play when I want to experience dotes. I play when I'm excited about ranking up.
But then when you know you had that game in the bag and then your teammates starts pulling off some braindead moves, anyone can get upset about it. Especially when you warn them not to do it.
I do not want to play any Core roles because that would contrast my personality. I really like playing support because supports literally control the whole game and that's the kind of thing that I want to do.
I am still hoping for the day where communication will finally become a given in this bracket. In those games I won, my teammates and I communicated really well. In those games I lost, my teammates LITERALLY IGNORED my chats and my voice-chat, and they literally do not know how to adjust in terms with the draft, itemization, and prioritizing objectives. They would only open their mouths when they see an ally seemingly "feeding" when in fact they're giving space for their poor asses to farm. Although I do admit that there are times where I make bad decisions, but it's not that I meant to throw or to be toxic in the game.
In those games I lost, my carries NEVER BOUGHT B K FUCKING B.
Supports, you know when you're really implementing the things you've learned from BSJ, Jenkins, Speeed, DubuDota, D2Bowie, etc when you can identify which mistakes your carry commits. When you see this I'd like you all to ignore the people here trolling "just git gud", or "destroy their ancient". For idiots lurking in this bracket, COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR FUCKING SUPPORTS.
With that being said, what is the calibration mmr for new accounts? Given that I've played a hundred hours of good dota.
